Today (yesterday) we visited the Great Wall and then we flew down to Guangzhou (pronounced: Gwan chow) where today we finally get united with Kian! Every morning Declan asks if we get Kian today so finally we can tell him yes. Here are some photos from the Great Wall it was very cold and foggy.

Guess what this hole on the wall was used for? That's right for the soldiers to pee!
Unfortunately Declan didn't get the memo on the pee hole!

Finally a picture of Jennifer, she is always taking the photos

So as many of you know Declan has asthma so we brought our nebulizer for his albuterol treatment. Talk about a perfect storm Declan's asthma, 13 hour flight with dry air, lovely acidic smog of Bejing. As soon as we got to the room we started his asthma treatment withthe nebulizer only to have the electrical supply fry the nebulizer,  thank god Jen packed the Amish huffer so he could still do his treatments. Poor guy was coughing like once every 10 seconds. After a solid day of his treatments Declan is doing much better, it didn't hurt that today we toured sights outside of downtown Beijing; Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace.

Toured Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and Old City today our guide William has been great. Will post photos as soon as we get a card reader (I forgot the cable).  Declan loved riding the subway and boy do the Chinese love little boys everyone was flirting with Declan while I had him in the ergo. Everyone has been very courteous offering their seats to us on the subway, just like SEPTA, lol.

Made it to China!

We have made it Beijing! We had a 13 hour flight and it was not too
bad..... Declan did really well and we all slept a bit. We flew United
and there were no issues. Our guide William met us at the airport and
delivered us to our hotel The Novotel Beijing Xinqiad. We managed a
short walk around the area and had a bite to eat at Starbucks :) our
authentic Chinese experience will begin tomorrow - tonight was about
survival - which included coffee.

As for now - it is 2:30 in the morning and we are up for a brief snack
and short video - then off to sleep again....

Once we find our camera cord we will download our pictures!
